The World Trade Center Memorial Gallery

To readers, friends & colleagues of 12gauge.com -

We will be compiling writings--poetry, essays, fiction--and visual art about this horrible tragedy.  Art is at its most potent in times of grief.  Please submit your pieces directly to <>Contact Page (replace 'at' with the appropriate symbol when emailing).

Also, if you have a picture you took at and/or of WTC in the past, and would like to share with us, please send us.  We would love to publish them in our WTC Memorial Gallery.  Send with captions, if you wish.  We would like to collect as many photos of WTC in which happy memories were shared by you and your loved ones.

The below two photographs are by Carol Mangis, former managing editor of 12gauge.com.  They were taken back in August 2001 on her ferry trip to Ellis Island with her sister.

Read Carol's essay on the events of September 11th, here.

"I took this photo in July 1978, from what I believe is called Liberty Park, on the NJ side of the Hudson River. The buildings were rising up above the trees and I used a telephoto lens to bring them in closer." --   Copyright 2002 © Pedar Ness
