To our beloved readers and contributors--
12gauge.com has been on a long hiatus, and we feel that its
only right that we tell you whats been going on.
As with the rest of the internet economy, we were hit pretty hard by the
tech bust of 2000. We didnt really feel
it until almost the end of last year. But it
all came down on us this year. It was
monetary as well as psychological.
Weve learned our lessons.
Yet we decided to punch on.
We are grateful for your patience, and we continue to get excellent
work from everywhere on the globe, from all US states, Canadian provinces, Australia, and
elsewhere English is spoken.
This is more than what we dreamt of when we started the site six
years ago, hunkered around a donated 486 PC in a loft space in Fort Greene, Brooklyn.
So here are our humble and belated thank-yous.
Thank you, Connecticut, New Jersey, Texas, Alabama, California,
Tennessee, Ohio, Georgia, and all the rest of the great US states in which our
contributors and readers reside. Thank you,
New York. And most of all, Brooklyn.
Thank you, Ontario, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, British Columbia,
Quebec.
Thank you, Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria.
Thank you, Ireland. Thank
you, England. Thank you, Scotland. Thank you, India.
Thank you, Sweden. Thank
you, Belgium. Thank you, Israel. Thank you, South Africa.
Our best wishes to you and yours during these strange and dark times.
