I’ve been reluctant to post the trip report for my trip to La Zona in TJ several weeks ago, but I’m thinking I owe it to the many Net friends I've made in this group, and sooooo…..here goes! (This is kind of long, so I'm breaking it in two parts.)

First of all, I’ll dispense with the usual chit chat about parking and getting over the border, except to say I removed the tools and equipment from my pickup before I left home. I arrived around dark, and parked at the Five Star lot, the last one before the border, and I left a ten dollar tip with the attendant to "ojo el carro," for me, which proved a real good investment later on.
